Salix hookeriana

Salix hookeriana

(Order Code N227)

Salix hookeriana originates from coastal North America
and, if left uncoppiced, can grow into a shrub or a tree up to 10 m / 33 foot tall.

The young rods as well as all of the young leaves are covered in hair. This gets sparser on the upper side of the leaves as they mature, but retains on the lower side, giving the underside of the leaves its silver appearance.

A highly ornamental willow.
